The problem
You send an RFQ to a supplier. You expect a response within a day or two. Nothing comes back.
You know you should follow up. But someone has to remember to do it, find the original email, write the follow-up, and send it. When the team is busy, this step gets skipped. Days pass. The supplier still has not responded. Your customer is waiting.
The problem is not that people forget. The problem is that following up consistently requires a discipline that is hard to maintain manually.
