Supplier Order Follow-Up

Keep supplier RFQs moving with reliable automatic follow-up when no response arrives in time.

The problem

You send an RFQ to a supplier. You expect a response within a day or two. Nothing comes back.

You know you should follow up. But someone has to remember to do it, find the original email, write the follow-up, and send it. When the team is busy, this step gets skipped. Days pass. The supplier still has not responded. Your customer is waiting.

The problem is not that people forget. The problem is that following up consistently requires a discipline that is hard to maintain manually.

How it works

When an RFQ is sent to a supplier, the clock starts. If no response arrives within a set number of days, one of two things happens automatically:

The responsible person receives a notification with a draft follow-up email ready to review and send
Or the follow-up is sent to the supplier directly without manual input

Which approach fits depends on the company. Both are possible.

What changes

Every open supplier request gets followed up without anyone having to remember. No RFQ falls through because the team was busy. Response times from suppliers improve because they know follow-ups will come.

Tools used

Works with your existing email setup. Tracks open requests in a simple spreadsheet or connected to your current system. No new software required.
